What do spinning tops have to do with ambient music (one might ask)?

Well…one could field-record their rotating gyrations/machinations & turn that into an extended drone…(I suppose).
But I like them. They aid contemplation, as do ambient wave-tables & sound-slabs.

I ordered 2 for Christmas from ForeverSpin: one Titanium & 1 Stainless Steel. I keep one of them in my trouser pocket (usually the lighter Titanium), and spin them for clients (while instilling leadership content – not simply for the sake of the spin ; D ).

They’re beautiful though; wrought from a single piece of metal…and great for developing strategy & patience. Sometimes I spin them two to three times a day…& sometimes I simply ignore them (go figure!)

Ultimae Winter Showcase (remix)

I mix. It’s what I do. If I’m not 100% pleased with your work…I’ll remix it until I DO like it.
I downloaded the 2017 Ultimae Winter Showcase   and was happy with about 90% of it…so I mucked with the track-listing and came up with audio worthy of calorie burning Nordic Track workouts.

I deleted the original opening track,  The Circadian Clock by SONMI451 – not because I dislike it, but because I recently employed it it on my DigiSeeding mix.

Hoshin, Path of Dissolutions

Hoshin, also know under his alias Esylt, presents us with a soothing ambient music album. Ripe with field recordings of lush forests and damp ancient temples. Layered with mechanical undertones it creates a unique atmosphere. An enlightening voyage to the center of Mysticism. Blackened machines summon dread, while the spiritual world knocks on the door of reality.

The stench of decay stand in stark contrast to the awakened mind. We feel throbbing bass one minute, the other surrounded by murmuring crowds. From within them the cough of pestilence echo through halls that never end.

This is fresh twist on the dark ambient genre and drone music.
