I’ve been working on a new series of ambient mixes, entitled ‘g l a z e’, using Audacity instead of Roxio Media Editor. The series is an aural expression of what’s possible moving forward, a pushing of the envelope that began with the proJJeXx morphed audio series some time ago, as well as something pleasant to listen to within the ambient genera.
The biggest difference in the new platform is that Roxio allows for a maximum twenty second cross-fade, while with Audacity, it’s unlimited. You can lay tracks atop one another, add effects on the fly & have more overall control as to the audio deliverables.
Particularly intriguing are the ‘Mix & Render‘ & ‘Time Shift’ options.
